Stacking The Odds In Your Favor

October 10, 2014 by Dave Fresilli

DF2Fall is upon us once more. And so it begins that, with summer over and the days getting shorter, we wish to ease into more consistent actions that create personal health and fitness.

Unfortunately, with the cooler weather and holidays approaching, many will begin taking in sweets and junk foods and the like. Along with this first insult to the body systems, some folks will allow the busier schedule of the holiday season to be yet another reason for slacking off on their exercise.

In all, these misplaced actions send the body into a tailspin. The body is not able to keep up with the onslaught of over-eating, eating poor quality foods, and not getting the exercise or sleep that the body actually craves at this time!

The final result is that after January 1st, the reckoning time comes when you look at yourself in the mirror and admit you need to do something about how awful you feel. ‘Where did those extra ten to fifteen pounds come from,’ you naively ask? It is as if you didn’t want to take responsibility for your actions through the holiday season by pleading ignorance.

It’s as if you’re standing in front of your subconscious saying, “I swear your honor, I didn’t know that eating all those extra sweets, and fatty foods, and alcohol, along with not doing my exercise, was going to put on all this weight and make me feel so horrible!”

Now that we have imagined what will happen if you allow yourself to let go, let’s design some simple steps to keep you, not only on track with your health and fitness, but also accelerate your results.

How would it feel if, on January 2nd, you looked in the mirror and saw a lean, healthy, strong and vibrant body?

I know exactly what you would feel. You would have such a sense of accomplishment and pride in yourself for sticking to your guns and doing what you knew was right.

Let’s stack the odds in your favor so that you have this amazing experience come January 2nd.

  1. Get very clear on what you want your body and health to be like. It does not matter where you start. Write your goals down and put them in the present tense as if you already have it right now.
  2. Every morning, afternoon and evening you will take 5-10 minutes to visualize what a healthy body feels like as if you already have it.
  3. Make a list of the simple actions you must take to assure you don’t get caught off guard.
  4. Prepare all meals ahead of time for daily consumption. You could even make everything in one weekend and freeze some of it!
  5. Make sure to bring food with you to work and play.
  6. Bring 2-3 quarts of filtered water with you every day. Make sure to drink it.
  7. Get quality sleep – Bed by 10pm, wake at 6am.
  8. Exercise everyday – even if you only have time for walking.
  9. Always eat before going out to a party so that you are not tempted to eat all the high carb, fatty, sodium and sugar filled foods.
  10. When you find your thoughts drifting to negative ideas, recognize that they are only a product of past experiences. Now is the time for you to create a new reality in which you are in control of your thoughts, feelings and actions.

Remember you must take responsibility to create this healthy, fit, vibrant life. You already have all it takes. It is now time to use your God-given abilities to see that the autumn season is actually a new beginning!

Here is a complimentary webinar to get you started. I would love to help you on your journey of health and wellness.

I wish for all of you Vibrant Health!

Falling Forward Into Your Desired Health

September 15, 2014 by Dave Fresilli

Fotolia_54489997_Subscription_Monthly_MWhen we analyze how humans walk, jog, and run, we can determine that these actions are a “controlled fall forward.” It is a scientific truth that in order to move forward, we must lean our weight to the front of our center of gravity. This causes our upper body to tip forward, or to “fall forward.” We then take a step to catch ourselves while we continue this forward fall. In order to stop the fall, we must continually adjust our bodies over our center of gravity.

I love using metaphors such as this because it allows me to combine the idea of locomotion with other actions that will allow you to reach a goal.

We look at the idea of walking, jogging and running as a controlled fall forward. So, naturally, when we decide to move forward in other aspects of life, we also must move forward toward a specific goal.

Standing still could be seen as a stagnant state of consciousness. Standing is a place of known events. When we are standing, we feel safe.

This state could be compared to where you are in your life right now. There is little that is unknown, or new, in your everyday life, and this makes you feel comfortable. Even though there could be a lot going on in your life that you’re not happy about, at least you know what to expect.

What if, while you were standing in that one comfortable place, you decided that you desire more! You might wish for a better body, or better health overall. Maybe you desire more wealth, a better career or anything that you know would bring you more happiness. The choices are endless.

There is an old saying, “You can’t get there from here.” There has to be forward motion if you are ever going to achieve that “more” state.

What do you have to do in order to obtain more in life? You have to fall forward and create some momentum until you are running toward it. In fact, I would say this is true for just about anything you desire in your life that is really big and different from where you are now.

Think about it. You will have to lean forward beyond your center of gravity, which means metaphorically you have to purposely take yourself out of balance and all that you currently understand and fall into the unknown in front of you.

That can be scary! Imagine what an infant looks like just as he/she is learning to walk. The infant sort of resembles a drunken sailor, right? The infant leans forward and tilts back, until finding his/her center of gravity. All the while the brave little baby takes those unknown steps forward that will eventually propel him/her across the room. The baby might be unsure and fall on his/her butt many times in the process.

But does this infant ever believe there is no point to his/her actions? Does the baby give up, and say “Oh why bother?” Of course not.

Any baby will continue to try until it becomes skilled enough to achieve the goal of walking. And this is a human at its youngest and most vulnerable stage of life!

We are no different than an infant learning to walk. We must understand this in order to grow. There will be uncomfortable moments, but those uncomfortable moments must be understood as part of the growing process. They should be expected as part of achieving any new goal that is big, bold and, yes … scary.

My mentor Bob Proctor says goals should be so big they scare you! If they don’t, then it is not big enough. A goal that doesn’t scare you is never going to stretch you, or force you to grow.

If you are not growing out of who you are right now, then you will stay exactly where you are. This means you will never become the person you truly desire to be.

We all know of folks who have achieved great things, who seem genuinely happy and excited about the challenges life offers. These people are consistently doing well, but do you ever wonder how they got there?

To use our metaphor, they set a big scary goal, something they really wanted, and they fell forward.

What is it you desire to fall forward into?

Do you finally want to have the body you have always dreamed of? Then fall forward!

Do you want, once and for all, to heal yourself of health issues that plague you? Then fall forward!

Do you want to create a life so amazing you are scared to even think about it? Then fall forward!

Open your heart and mind and begin to believe in yourself and your innate abilities that allow you to create what you desire.

Stop standing still, and fall forward.

I am here to help you on this journey.

I wish for you Vibrant Health!

Believing Is Seeing

September 12, 2014 by Dave Fresilli

fotolia_18145709_Subscription_LThat’s right. I’ve lost my mind again. Shouldn’t the title of this article read, “Seeing is believing”?

Well, only if you need to prove something that is already in the past. The idea of merely seeing in order to believe comes across as old news now. What we should always choose is the act of believing, which will ultimately leads to “seeing.” This is especially true when we are creating the health and fitness we desire in our lives.

You see, part of the spirit, mind and body connection is becoming aware that anything you desire in life should first begin as a consistent thought filled with emotion.

The health and fitness you desire can only take shape if you place your thoughts and emotions within that construct consistently. You have to dream big, and feel as if you are already living with this dream of complete health.

When you do this, the idea is engrained into your subconscious mind. This, in turn, becomes your belief. If you believe you already are this healthy, fit body in your subconscious, then all of your daily thoughts and actions will guide you to making it a reality!

All of this happens with much less effort and frustration then if you had attempted to use sheer will to create the health you desired.

Your level of awareness becomes one of a healthy, fit person. It literally becomes a part of who you are.

Perhaps you are stuck or struggling with your health and fitness right now. Maybe you can’t seem to find the motivation to do anything except hope somehow your health will magically improve on its own?

That is the level of awareness at which you exist right now. In order for you to raise your level of awareness, you must become the person you desire to be. To become this desired person you must allow yourself to believe this person already exists!

Most people would say I am putting the cart before the horse, but in fact I am not.

I have worked with plenty of clients who, once they have embraced this first step, have been able to overcome all the obstacles and self-sabotage that stopped them in the past.

I would gently offer this thought. What you have believed and done in the past has not given you the results you desire. Does it make sense to continue to believe and do the same thing again and expect a better result? How can that possibly be effective?

It is time to claim the health and fitness you deserve. Begin to create that dream body and health you have always desired. Create it in your mind first, and make it so real and exciting that it drives you to do what is needed in order to create it.

Here’s a good example. In computer terminology you must write the software before the computer can make it happen. The computer is a servant to the software that is installed. You must install the software of your dream body and health into your subconscious. Then you’re subconscious will awaken within you your potential to make it happen!

I received an email today form a client with whom I have been working for several months.

She mentioned that, up until recently, she had not been able to see beyond what she had always seen in the mirror. She felt she was unattractive, unworthy of being loved, and overweight. She couldn’t even pass by a mirror or walk by a store window without looking away. I am sure we can, to some degree, understand that her software was one of being un-loveable.

As we began to work together, we decided to “write a new software” for her. It was one filled with her dream body and life. At first she couldn’t grasp the concept, but she kept visualizing. As the weeks went on she did her exercises and ate only healthy food. Suddenly, the weight began to come off at the rate of about two pounds per week!

Even with everything going well, she still had moments of disbelief. This was only because she was so used to her old way of thinking. We pushed on, focusing only on her dream body and life. Weeks turned into months, and now, after three months she sees her dream body in the mirror.

She has come to see beyond what the mirror is reflecting, and can now visualize her potential to make things happen. More importantly, she now believes she is already the person she has always desired to be. Now her body only needs to undergo the process of catching up.

This client went from being unable to believe, to understanding the power of her subconscious, and then becoming the person she has always desired.

Do you think you are different from this woman? Do you believe that your circumstances are more challenging? I would tell you they are not.

I always have clients proving to me that anyone, no matter what their conditions, can overcome all obstacles of the past and achieve the health and dream body they have always desired.

I know you are someone who will do the same.

I am here to help you on this journey.

It Takes Action To Create Your Health & Dream Body

August 22, 2014 by Dave Fresilli

Fotolia_55286906_Subscription_XXLAction will certainly be required to achieve any goal you have created for yourself in your health and fitness.

Taking action is something we want to get excited about. It is through taking action that we can achieve the health and dream body we have always desired.

Taking action is something many people get stuck on. They can dream big and get excited about creating their dream, but they fall short when it comes to taking the actions that are needed to create the big dream.

Action is the physical expression of creating your big dream. However you have to be inspired to take the actions that are coming to you.

Your big dream once planted in your subconscious may intuitively telling you to make a phone call, research something on the internet, or make an appointment with someone who can help you achieve your big dream.

What is important to understand is that your big dream is giving you the inspiration, motivation, and ideas you should be taking in the form of actions.

In the beginning consistently taking action may seem challenging.

Even though you may feel uncomfortable following these inspired thoughts and ideas actions ares needed for you to achieve your health and dream body.

Your new health and dream body are going to ask you to get up and do your exercises, eat better, and don’t skip meal. In fact it will remind you to bring your healthy food with you to work. Your dream will hint to you to get out and walk during lunch, take the stairs, and hit the gym after work. Your dream body and health will encourage you to make a health dinner and get to bed earlier so your body can sleep for eight hours and heal itself.

Your dream body and health will trigger you to join a gym or get a trainer, maybe start running or join a team sport.

These and countless more actions will come into your mind each and every moment of everyday when you focus on living and feeling your dream. This is supposed to happen. It is the way we are designed to create.

The more consistently you take action the more habitual it will become. This is a fantastic habit to create.

People who take effective actions each day are highly productive in creating their health and fitness dreams.

You are meant to be healthy and fit. You are meant to dream of what you want in life and then take action to create it.

Taking action is part of the lifestyle you will create along with your big dream of health and fitness.

Your positive actions toward creating your health and fitness dream comes after getting emotionally involved in visualizing and feeling your dream as already real.

How exciting will it be to live a life where you know that all you have to do is create the big dream, get emotionally involved in feeling it, and then take the consistent actions to make it happen.

Action carries with it power. You have within you unlimited access to the power to create. The more consistently you take action toward your dream the more power you will access.

I would love to help you on your journey of health and wellness.

I wish for all of you Vibrant Health!
